Painting has always provided me with a quiet, serene space where I can escape from the noise of everyday life. I am passionate about color, and I especially enjoy experimenting with patterns that rely on an array of contrasting shades and complimentary tones. I am drawn to whimsy, and often focus on small details to create a lush whole. My work fluctuates between structured scenes and more fluid pieces, sometimes incorporating elements of both in a single painting. I strive for a mix of two parts free spirit and one part science. I try to create a sense of movement in my pieces, a kaleidoscope of color that creates a sense of joy in the viewer.
